Ashley Cumberland, native of Starkville, Mississippi, has been involved with Dancing Feet Academy and Starkville Gymnastics for the past sixteen years. At age three, she began taking both dance lessons and gymnastics at the Dancing Feet studio and has been taking some form of both ever since. At age sixteen, she began coaching gymnastics and cheerleading for Starkville Gymnastics; and at seventeen, she began teaching preschool tap/ballet, jazz, and hip hop to children ranging from ages three to sixteen at Dancing Feet Academy. Since then she have also been working in DFA’s office as a secretary and has begun teaching a trick class to Rhythm Elite members. At Starkville Academy, she was a member of the cheerleading squad from 7-10th grade, and a member the Lady Blues Dance Varsity Dance Team in 11th and 12th grade, where she served as captain.
Ashley is currently a sophomore at Mississippi State, majoring in general business with the hopes of pursuing a career in aviation. She was a member of the 2007-2008 Pom Squad, where she performed at football and basketball games. She is involved in Delta Gamma sorority, Shakouls Honors College, Alpha Lambda Delta, Lambda Sigma, and Magna Cum Laude. Ashley loves Dancing Feet Academy and Mississippi State, and hope to remain at both throughout my college career.
